The Tula Toddler Carrier is a fuss-free, easy toddler carrier that’s ideal from 2 to 4 years. Your child will need to be wearing aged 2-3 clothes for this one, or it’ll feel a bit too big. The organic cotton Coracor Baby Wrap tops my list thanks to its quality and stunning Scandi designs, closely followed by the bamboo Izmi Baby Wrap, which feels almost silky and cool to the touch, and is naturally breathable and hypoallergenic. The Tula Preschool Carrier has a clean and simple design and an upper limit of 32kg (70lbs). Some tall 3 year olds will be comfy in this one, but I’d really recommend this for children who are in aged 4-5 clothes.
Easy loading and adjustment of the carriers is essential. For example, we loved the velcro tabs for adjusting the seat width of the Ergobaby – Omni 360, but really didn’t like fumbling with the extra-large buttons to change other flaps. If you’ve ever found some baby carriers hard to do up by yourself, these two are good options for you as there are a number of different ways to configure the shoulder straps.Beco Woven Carrier: Very similar to the Boba, but the only colors available are limited editions, very expensive, and not very good looking. Being new to the parenting scene, I hadn’t heard of Meh Dai carriers, and was concerned about the increased risk of suffocation with a wrap. Last, Beco could be more transparent about all of the materials that go into making the Gemini carrier. They list “cotton” but the carriers have other components that clearly aren’t cotton. I’d like a full accounting of materials.

As they’re much less padded, ultra-light carriers tend to be worn for slightly shorter periods, but they’ll save your sanity on really hot sweaty days!BabyBjorn Miracle: Slightly more supportive than the other BabyBjorn carriers (except the BabyBjorn One), but also significantly less attractive. The main difference is one of size and complexity! The Beco Gemini is both smaller and simpler. It doesn't have lots of features and extra bits and bobs. Consequently it is, cheaper and folds down a lot smaller. Particularly the "cool" version which is made from thinner material and folds up into a very compact bundle. Because it is so lightweight it doesn't feel bulky to use with a small baby, and so generally even though the 8 works well with a newborn, the Gemini is still often the one the feels more natural with smaller babies. The smaller panel means they don't look as overwhelmed, you don't need to use an insert and it just seems to mould to smaller form better. The smaller panel does mean, however, that most children grow out of it somewhere between 18 and 24 months. At least 6 months before they'd grow out of the 8. But many parents aren't still carrying regularly at that point anyway and those that are are often more than happy to move onto the Beco Toddler. Consequently the Beco Gemini tends to the sling of choice for the minimalists - those who want a comfortable carrier that is very simple, and folds down tiny. Stretchy baby wraps are perfect for newborns and premature babies. Incredibly supportive and dreamily soft, all of these baby wraps are one-size-fits-all and perfect for mums and dads. Simply tie the baby wrap around your body and pop your baby in and out as needed. The Beco Gemini baby carrier model has been a vital piece of gear for our growing family. It’s not uncomfortable, even for long stints, and it’s easy to use when you’re by yourself. It’s a great carrier for parents of varying heights and sizes, and it offers the flexibility of four convenient carrying configurations.
