About this deal

Absolutely! The best waterproof bike cover(s) will massively increase its shelf life, and will mean you’ll have far less time and money on bicycle maintenance– so it actually saves you money in the long term. Proof that going budget doesn’t always mean sacrificing quality, the ZCOINS cover is one of the best on the market. It’s also a fraction of the price of its nearest competitors and comes with some fantastic extras. For the price, you’ll also get a bike bell, seat cover and drawstring pouch to hold them in. That’s not to mention the cover itself, which is made from robust, 210T nylon with PU coating. Park my Perky Condor Tourer when Pouring and Parky in Urban Bristol Under a Blue Bike Parka, Please! Because of the cover’s bulk and weight, I’d be less inclined to lug it around when commuting. There are covers more suited to this purpose, and Storm Skin doesn't claim it to be a portable protection option. It's not really designed to be a travel cover either, so think more of it as bike protection for long-term use at home. Value and conclusion

This very much depends on your use case. If you only need to store the bikes outside at home, and don't need to bring a cover with you out and about then a large, sturdy option like the Storm Skin will likely be the best bet. This would be a fantastic winter coat to cover my son’s road bike which needs a bit of comfort after many year’s of faithful use. Ooooo… my almost brand new Oxford Bike Works tourer. The time has come to leave it’s very own room indoors, definitely a rite of passage! I’ve literally just thrown my bike cover away, it had a massive hole in it due to the wind. Need a proper cover for my bike and this would do nicely.Exactly what I’ve been looking for! Great idea for bike storage, that looks like it takes up no more room than the bike itself! Both feature high quality Oxford fabric with double stitching for enhanced durability. The seams are heat-sealed to ensure that no moisture can seep through. As such, this cover protects against winter conditions like rain, snow and ice, but will also keep your bike safe in summer when UV rays and dust are a problem.

It would be ideal to cover my trusty Paul Hewitt touring cycle. It deserves a good winter coat after all the miles it has carried me. TeamObsidian’s offering has everything you could desire from a bike cover. The material is a particular highlight. It’s heavy duty stuff, fully waterproof and tough enough to withstand even the worst conditions. The product description proudly boasts that this cover will hold up against sun, rain, wind, snow, ice, dust and even hail. It comes with a two year warranty so TeamObsidian is putting its money where its mouth is. I have a Cyclemax electric bike which I love – and for that reason would very much appreciate the Bike Parka. Exactly what I need to keep my bike clean and dry! How did you know I was going to look for something like this this weekend!? It wouldn't have been a problem for most road and gravel bikes, but was slightly at odds with Storm Skin's claim that the cover is suitable for most machines, including e-bikes and mountain bikes, which often come with bars wider than 65cm. This seemed a shame, as I could see this being very popular for e-bikes, given the protection it offers. All BikeParkas are made from tough RipStop fabric so shouldn't rip. Accidents can happen however, so if needed your BikeParka can easily be fixed with a tent repair kit. Gives the best possible UP fabric protection, to help stop fabric breaking down in the sun and keep Our fabric has been engineered with the highest possible UV protection, but for maximum performance and long-standing wear try and avoid extended exposure to direct sunlight, especially in summer. We would recommend regular rotation of your BikeParka to maximise its longevity. I can’t carry my electric bike up front steps, so sometimes street is the only option , I and my bike desperately need the TLC of the Bike Parka

Bike Parka is the perfect choice for our hard Scottish winter. I will carefuĺly protect my vintage Orange c16r with this fabulous cover. With popularity comes choice, though, from high range offerings that promise all kinds of features to cheaper options for the more budget conscious. There are also more types of cover than you might imagine, including rip/cut proof offerings and extra tough. Fathers day -Bikeparka a perfect gift- sorted. Seriously looking at Bike Vault for our office- great design. If its raining really hard while out and about maybe stop and put over bike and rider and wait for a gap in the rain 🙂

CHOOSING A WOMEN'S PARKA COAT

All the covers on test here that were designed for outdoor use are sufficiently waterproof to withstand heavy rain. Some are more sturdy, but that won't necessarily keep your bike more dry. The materials will be more durable though, if product longevity is important to you. I’d use it on my 2008 Specialized hybrid. It’s been a proper workhorse on my commute over the last 13 years and frankly it deserves a little TLC Looks great and great coverage of the whole bike. Most covers say they are waterproof but are not great so this will be handy. Overall, it's a good choice if you regularly leave your pride and joy out in the elements and want to know it's well protected. Verdict

Each BikeParka has the highest UV protection to keep the colour bright but you can extend its life by keeping it in the shade whenever possible. To clean your BikeParka, treat it the same as a good quality tent - sponge clean with warm water and a natural soap/ mild detergent, and don’t machine wash. It’s made from tough fabric so shouldn’t rip, but accidents can happen and if needed your BikeParka can easily be fixed with a tent repair kit.

The big advantage of the Pro Bike is its size! It comes in three different sizes so you won’t have to worry about your bike being too large for the cover. Better still, you can choose between “stationary” and “travel” options. The choice simply boils down to whether you want three additional straps for carrying and a series of press clamps to stop air from getting inside the cover as you move. We recommend the travel option if you want to take the cover to work.
