There are several locations throughout Walt Disney World property where guests can exchange their FuelRod – including both at the Parks and at select Resort hotels. FuelRod kiosks can be found at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, airports, and other locations. The service offers reusable, portable charging to fuel or charge your phone on the go, and then swap for a fresh battery. In this FuelRod review, we’ll cover whether the “unlimited” service is worth the money and effort. You don't need all those extras: The Anker Prime power bank is pricey, and if you don't care about monitoring charge Wattage or days of battery life, find another option.

If you’re primarily concerned about using FuelRods at the airport, Walt Disney World, or Disneyland–that’s great. FuelRod probably has you covered. For Disney regulars or Annual Passholders, there is value in FuelRod. Again, we’re not saying this is a totally useless service or product.

Using the Anker Prime power bank, we were also able to test the charging speed claims of other power banks, as the Anker Prime will report charging speed in wattage. There are a few places within the Disney parks where you can plug in to charge your phone. Again, this comes down to a personal preference issue. If you don’t want to deal with swapping out Fuel Rods or purchasing your own portable charger for Disney, then it is possible to find outlets within the parks. With the cables you’ll also be able to recharge your FuelRod if you’d like (but I usually just trade it out for a new battery).
