About this deal

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approves prescription drugs such as levetiracetam to treat certain conditions. Doctors may also prescribe levetiracetam oral tablets off-label for other conditions. Off-label drug use is when an FDA-approved drug is prescribed for a purpose other than what it’s approved for. If it's giving you side effects or you're worried it's not suitable for you, ask your doctor or specialist to recommend a different medicine.

Instead, you’ll likely start with a low or moderate dosage of levetiracetam. Then your doctor may increase your dosage every 2 weeks until they find the amount that works for managing your seizures.
