It's basically a liqueur made from gin, sloe berries and sugar and tastes a little like a sweet port. Step Five (optional) – For a crystal clear drink, you can now filter your cranberry gin. This is optional. I don’t bother for myself, but if I am making the gin as a gift, I will. Anything with cranberry or pomegranate is festive and it should be part of all holiday drinks! Cranberry Moscow Mules is a classic that gets a twist for the holidays. Spices – I’ve used cardamom, cinnamon and cloves, but you can vary these. Star anise is good too, but use it sparingly. I have suggested adding a sprig of rosemary to the cranberries in this recipe. I think rosemary combines well with their sweet-sharp flavour. It is also one of the few fresh herbs that I can harvest from my garden in the winter months.

That being said, I am SO glad that I’ve done this advent calendar series! It’s been the most intense blogging period I’ve ever had, and I am so thrilled with how much you guys have all enjoyed it! I know that many of you have been following all the alcohol infusions I’ve been making this past year or so. By now, you should all be pros at it (if you weren’t before), and there probably isn’t anything left for me to teach you!
