Even before his immersion in the Lifestream, Sephiroth was already capable of unnatural powers and after absorbing energies from the Lifestream, he not only receives a vast augmentation in said capabilities but also gains unique almost glaringly astral psychic powers. There was one SOLDIER named Sephiroth, who was better than the rest, but when he found out about the terrible experiments that made him, he began to hate Shinra. And then, over time, he began to hate everything.

The only versions of Sephiroth to die are in the original Final Fantasy VII and the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. He survived in Kingdom Hearts, Dissidia Final Fantasy, and the Final Fantasy VII remake, likely due to his popularity. While I personally wasn’t impressed by their Captain Marvel suit because it felt really tight and the first shoes they sent me didn’t fit (for the record it was one of their first prototypes so they may have improved by now), I absolutely love their Hela cosplay they have. I actually ended up going custom for the suit and they matched my measurements pretty well for it. His underestimation of AVALANCHE lead to his defeat at the final battle when he was so close to victory. When fighting Cloud in Advent Children, Sephiroth, despite having the skill to easily finish him off, took time to taunt and torment Cloud despite Cloud's own remarkable strength, which once again lead to his downfall as his taunts caused Cloud to remember his hatred of him and dedication to his friends and allowed him to soundly defeat Sephiroth. I knew, ever since I was a child... I was not like the others. I knew mine was a special existence. But this... This was not what I meant. In Dissidia Final Fantasy, left unable to pursue his goals to become a god and not having his memories, Sephiroth's personality proves fundementally different than the other Warriors of Chaos, having absolutely no interest in winning the war with Cosmos and the whole conflict itself and only caring to regain his memories. He shows little interest in fighting the Warriors of Cosmos nor helping his fellow Warriors of Chaos apart from Cloud and even his enmity towards Cloud seems to have toned down, replaced with more of a cold, almost mentoring side to himself over Cloud's doubts. He appears to have retained a sense of honor despite all he had become, as he coldly refuses to aid the Emperor and Ultimecia with their plans to betray all the other warriors of Chaos and outright expresses his disgust for them, and it's indicated that one of his goals upon becoming a god once he regained his memories was to end the war.

While it may have been unintentional on the author's part, Sephiroth has many parallels to the real-life Latvian aviator Herbert Cukurs.Curiously enough, in his final confrontation with Cloud, Sephiroth refers to himself as "Ore" rather than "Watashi" as he had after falling into insanity, indicating he is aware of his fate after witnessing the Whispers' foretelling of the future. Perhaps the most impressive of all of Sephiroth's abilities, however, is his extraordinary willpower. Extremely famous throughout the world as Shinra's most brave and devoted SOLDIER, Sephiroth valiantly fought for the company he was devoted to against Wutai and all other oppositions, known to be more than willing to follow the most dangerous of missions and greatly admired and respected for his courage. Despite his disillusionment with the company over the betrayal of Genesis and Angeal, Sephiroth remained dedicated to being a loyal SOLDIER of Shinra, resisting the temptation to betray them for his best friends, while being able to muster the willpower to ensure their safety too, defying the company in small ways with no fear of being potentially found out and deemed a traitor. It is often believed the name Safer∙Sephiroth is a mistranslation, similar to how Helletic Hojo should have been translated as "Heretic Hojo". A common rumor is that "Safer" is a misspelling of "Seraph" (שרף) due to Safer∙Sephiroth's angelic appearance. A Seraph (plural "Seraphim", שְׂרָפִים) is described in the Hebrew Bible as being a humanoid angel with six wings.

Sephiroth is one of the most popular and iconic villains in the Final Fantasy franchise, alongside Kefka Palazzo. His fighting prowess and strength was also shown by the Remnants of Sephiroth. Despite Kadaj (the representation of Sephiroth's memories and skill), Loz (the representation of Sephiroth's physical power) and Yazoo (the representation of his allure) not having even close to the full extent of his might, the skills and power they gained from Sephiroth proved to make them formidable foes, with Loz proving a powerful hand-to-hand combatant that easily surpassed Tifa and Rude and capable of shattering trees and stone and moving at teleportational speeds, Kadaj being strong enough of a swordsman to handily defeat Reno and Rude and force Cloud to dual-wield to defeat him, and Yazoo, despite not even representing a part of his fighting skills, proving to be an agile fighter and extremely skilled marksman, which indicates Sephiroth may also be similarly, if not even more, skilled with firearms. Likewise, they all prove to be fully capable of riding motorcycles while engaging Cloud in combat, meaning Sephiroth himself would also be proficient in such methods of combat.
