About this deal

I can't say too much more to avoid some spoilers but between the character interactions and nice art style I really enjoyed this book. This is a used book - there is no escaping the fact it has been read by someone else and it will show signs of wear and previous use. I've decided to try and see how risque a few "usually in sealed bags at Barnes and Noble" manga are, but under the stipulation I can get them through the public library.

Their growing relationship leads to questions of identity, getting one’s life together, and if something tender can develop from an arrangement that started with a bang. Towards the end, it is clear that Koduka starts to question if she has feelings for Hara, as she realizes after their kiss that she enjoyed it.Just when things are getting interesting, an older beauty moves into the apartment complex where they both live! After a workplace incident forced her to quit her job, Koduka ended up in a deep depression and three months behind on her rent.

So when Landlady offers her this extensive favour system to provide ongoing debt relief for services of any kind, not just sexual, Koduka says yes and gets a roomie in the bargain (which may not make sense on paper, but I assure you this might be the only manga where this actually makes a modicum of sense to occur). It's really fun and cute and if you get the chance I would suggest picking it up (but only my girls, gays, and theys)- I don't want no hetero boys sexualizing this too much cause I want to enjoy some silly lesbian shit pls and thanks. It has a premise that you may not be able to see past, but there’s a lot more to this than meets the eye and, whatever I was expecting, what I got was a lot more nuanced than those expectations.

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The manga was serialized in ASCII Media Works' monthly shōnen manga magazine Dengeki Daioh from June 2019 to February 2021.

It’s always great to see a yuri book that doesn’t shy away from lesbian issues and Landlady has an absolutely awkward encounter at the mall that features some nasty prejudice (beware the well-meaning, yet ignorant high school acquaintance) and features Koduka both standing up for a friend, yet also being forced to confront some truths about herself. Her landlady proposes an unusual solution: sleep with her, and she’ll help with the debt, the filthy apartment, and the loneliness. thankfully, it turns into a super cute (if a bit ecchi) exploration of the 'forced proximity' trope. Both have the theme of a supposedly straight woman who, for reasons of convenience, becomes involved with a lesbian and matters get interesting. praising the art, though noting a disconnect with the comedy aspects of the series due the to sad circumstances of each characters lives, "As a romantic comedy, when the comedy is rooted in pain, it’s hard for me to laugh. Love blossoms when a landlady and her tenant form an unconventional arrangement in this popular yuri romance (originally known as Even If It Was Just Once, I Regret It). This sets up an excellent cliffhanger for the next volume, which will hopefully bring the two closer to having an actual relationship. this was much cuter than I expected, though not perfect - the premise was definitely uncomfy for me. Then her landlady proposes an unusual solution: have sex with her, and she’ll help with the debt, the filthy apartment, and the loneliness driving Chiyo to beer and escapism. Yes, Yes she did and in the real world there would be legal consequences (especially considering the debt reduction contract which could have been used as evidence.

After Koduka Chiyo quits her job and spends her time wallowing in self-pity she becomes three months behind on her rent. If you get chance to get your hands on a copy of this and the next two volumes I guarantee you will not be disappointed. year old Landlady says she likes older women, which doesn't go over entirely well with 24-year old Koduka. I think in the states a lot of manga gets glossed over because it has a humorous, suggestive title, but once you actually give it a chance most of these stories are extremely raw and emotional underneath the goofiness. The premise of the landlady's "service" contract is so out there it can never happen, but it's so logical (albeit slightly illegal I believe) that it's oddly believable.
