About this deal

Ultimately, the protagonists proclaim their love for one another after 2 or 3 days having done nothing more than hold hands once or twice.

Shelby and Miles have a lot to unpack from their past, but very little of that happened in this book. Josh can't stop being drawn to her and it doesn't help that his son, Jordan, is enamored with Beth as well. This is a fun story with a sweet little boy, a meddling mother, a spoiled acquaintance and a sick scared mother that bring humor and frustration to this story. Aside from her writing, she is also part of the Youtube channel and Facebook group “The Writing Gals. There is also a secondary romance in the background concerning Abigail which seems to come out of nowhere and has no clear direction besides romance. I've had this book sitting waiting for me for several weeks, I kept looking at it knowing I wanted to read it and just trying to find the time amidst the million other things that life is throwing at me right now (good things, just busy). there was zero character development and we never learned anything substantial about any of the characters. Josh moves back to his childhood home with his son Jordan after Josh’s wife leaves them for Josh’s former work partner.

He gets caught in the crossfire between Putin's army and the Wolves, a rogue team of Ukraine partisans. Their appearance is maybe hinted once throughout the book but overall I feel like the author needs to work on her character building. How the romance even happened I couldn't tell you because one minute she hated him and the next she has feelings for him. I think there was something familiar about the plot and writing but none the less I was sold on most of the story. Josh and Beth have known each other forever and they both find their lives going differently than they expected, which of course brings them both back home to Honey Grove and into each other's lives. The friend-next-door-all-grown-up is a fun idea and I loved how Josh and Beth came together once again. i was initially going to give this book 3 stars and then i thought more about it and i was like why would i do that it was genuinely terrible so i gave it 2 stars.

Serious review aside, the authors overuse of the word “startled” drove me nuts and ignoring everything else that I disliked about it, would be the sole cause for me to not read another book from her. I'm in a musical performance right now that we're heading into dress rehearsals and the show opening this week, so crazy evenings and late nights. I know I am a fast reader, but I felt like I read this book super fast, and I just felt like it was because there wasn’t a whole lot of meat to it. This clean standalone romance was fun and entertaining while it touched my heart with angst, trust issues, and love as these two reluctant people tried to stay professional guarding and navigating their growing feelings thru an incredible journey of secrets, interference, working n. Beth and Josh grew up across the street from each other, but never really knew each other wel, Beth was buddies with Josh’s younger brother, Jonathan. But, when his mom announced that she couldn't watch Jordan like they had planned, Joshua turned to Beth, his childhood friend who lived across the street. Half way through the book I was still confused as to who the main love interest was and it was unclear if Shelbly found him to be her ex-stepbrother or a potential romance partner. Even though Beth is no longer the lanky girl next door, Josh isn’t looking for a relationship, anyway. Now their friendship will never be the same again as she has started to have strong feelings of attraction towards her best friend.

While I appreciate all offers of donations to show your appreciation for the site, I’d much rather you do that by supporting causes that need the money far more than I do.Just to show you what I mean when I say this man gives me the ick: Somewhere in the story he wants to blow off some steam and gets in to his self-build ‘gym’. They soon learn it’s harder to live under the same roof with feelings they can never completely bury.
