It's hypnotic rhythm accompanied by noises of wind, explosions and other indefinable sounds created by Dik Mik's audio generators was an epiphone and it's still my favourite Hawkwind track. This track presents a lovely take on the well-known song, infusing it with a mellow jazz vibe that showcases Graulund’s musical talent. El Secreto Del Alfajor, a musical project with a penchant for blending folk and rock influences, presents two captivating tracks from their debut album. Holding the vinyl album cover while 'Master of the Universe' emerged slowly, kicked in and held its hypnotic rhythm I took in the statue-like figure with the Ohm symbol on him (the Master of the Universe? Masters of the Universe is a 1977 compilation album by Hawkwind covering the years 1971 to 1974 while the group were contracted to United Artists Records. The band was formed in 1969 by visionary Dave Brock and although it has been subject to numerous line-up changes it is still led by him. This very concise album along with the previous year's Roadhawks compilation together make a stunning introduction to Hawkwind's early years with the Liberty and United Artists labels. Lemmy's influence on the bass line is unmistakable and truly awesome, the diversity between Brainstorm, the title track and Lost Johnny will leave you a little bewildered at first but stick with it, if you don't like this album at the first listening you will find that it will grow on you eventually.

The most cohesive introduction to Hawkwind's United Artists years from 1971-74 for the money when it was released on vinyl in 1977. In the summer of 1990, you could get arrested for selling a 2 Live Crew album or performing their songs in Southern Florida.
