I think I finished it in about 4 hours - it's a nice looking/sounding game, but certainly no Zelda if you wants a few weeks of play out of it. The game can best be described as a puzzle platformer loosely based on the film version of the first Harry Potter book.The game may be short and easy, but it's also thoughtfully designed and genuinely entertaining, and KnowWonder deserves credit for that. In some segments, Harry partakes in the game of Quidditch, in which he flies on a broomstick and must locate and catch a Golden Snitch fluttering about the arena. The colours, the amazingly detailed backgrounds, I love Pokémon, but these games put Yellow and Gold/Silver/Crystal (We don't need to talk about the other Pokémon games graphics-wise XD.

Upon reaching Hogwarts, the trio follow the events of the novel, and learn magic by attending classes. Too wrong I was: you begin the came by attending your first defence against the dark arts lesson and then once your spell is learnt you do a tricky challenge.

Unique to this Harry Potter game, all characters have their own unique quotes for whenever they get hit by a spell. Both Amrich and Harris remarked that the console's sound quality caused Harry's cry of "Flipendo" to resemble the word " Nintendo". And if you're not overwhelmed by Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone , you can wager on one certainty--this isn't the last we've seen of Mr Potter on the Game Boy Advance. Some characters are bugged to the point where they might use certain portraits from other characters instead.
