About this deal
A book of honourable intentions, but I’d recommend Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche’s Dear Ijeawele for highly practical feminist advice.
Many of the guests are some of my favourite women - smart, articulate, empathetic - but the host talks over them, asks basic questions, elbows in her own immature, unrefined viewpoint. Some of them you might know before you start reading - like Kiera Knightly, Emma Watson and Kat Dennings - others you will want to know after reading their story!Maraknya pernikahan anak di negara dunia ketiga (termasuk di Indonesia, sesungguhnya) memiliki efek terhadap pendidikan.
The content is modern and inclusive too, feminism is not exclusive to gender issues anymore; it its directly connected to issues of race, ethnicity, faith, sexuality and class. The writings were categorised into groups such as “epiphany” (discovering feminism), and I almost wish they weren’t. This empowering collection shows how a diverse group of women found their voice, and it will inspire others to do the same. How do we raise a new generation and secure a prejudice free future, eradicating abuse, inequality and toxic masculinity?
