About this deal

Unlike the majority of competitors, you can remove the battery from a Decent One scooter in seconds, with no tools. This means that you can carry spare batteries with you (in a rucksack) and replace one as and when you need, thus extending your journey (the defining quality of the Decent range thus far). The hub motor, situated at the front, is an ample 350w offering great power for its class and will take on a 15 degree incline with ease. The Decent One electric scooter replaces the original Decent X7 (which was itself a variant on the Turboant X7).

Please note, privately-owned e-scooters can not be used on public highways (roads/pavements), and can only be used on private property with the landowner’s consent. The Decent One Max scooter features a battery that can easily be removed and replaced in seconds while commuting. The One and One Max are fitted with huge 10-inch diameter pneumatic tyres that soak up bumps and take the fatigue out of longer rides. For ultimate riding comfort, the Decent One Max comes with large 10″ pneumatic tyres on both wheels – perfect for limiting the effect of bumps while you travel. To meet the refund deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your cancellation request using the online form before the 14-day cancellation period has expired. Alongside the braking force of the hub motor, the rear wheel features a powerful mechanical disc brake to quickly bring the scooter to a halt. It can be folded down in seconds, carried in one hand and is compact enough to be stowed under a train seat, or in the boot of a small car. The front mounted 350w engine propels the Decent One to speeds of over 15 mph and allows it to tackle inclines as steep as 20%.

Once assembled, it’s fairly standard-looking from a design point of view, with a plain matte black finish that’s sure to appeal to many riders. Matte black and crafted from aluminium, the Decent One Max’s otherwise chunky but plain look is cleverly accented by a bright white logo on its steering column and model name on the footboard. Like other lower budget e-scooters, there is no independent suspension (shock absorbers), meaning that you are relying on the air-filled tyres to provide for a smoother ride. The One non-slip handlebar design means you can remain comfortable riding the scooter for long periods without your hands slipping. The 5Ah battery can last up to ranges of 20 miles (32km) and has three ride modes, eco, standard and sport so you can tailor your journey for speed or for distance. The battery pack is attached to the chunky stem, which means it looks a little larger than other models we’ve reviewed. The foldable and lightweight frame allows for easy transportation, yet still supports an electric power range of up to 24 miles – and the 10" wheels are designed to make these longer journeys even more comfortable, so you can simply ride to your heart's content! Inside of an electric scooter, there is a small motor which is powered by a battery which you charge. Doing so coats the tread area of the inner tube with sealant, protecting against punctures up to 3mm deep. The mud guard can be used in emergencies as a stomp brake as well meaning you will have no problem coming to a halt.

It's a good scooter but lacks the distance, unfortunately you can't get a spare or more powerful battery delivered to Ireland(we've tried) and this was well needed and why we bought it to have a spare battery, it's built well, and drives very comfortably, but the battery really let's this down, invest in an electric scooter that gives you the extra distance. An LED screen at the centre of the handbar system also shows you a variety of info such as speed and remaining power. However, if it’s your first time on an e-scooter, it’s definitely worth starting out on the lowest setting until you get used to handling it. The Decent One is a foldable electric scooter with a simple design, replaceable battery, 25 km/h (16 mph) top speed, 19 km (12 mile) range (on one battery), and 13 kg weight.
