I absolutely adore that movie and I haven't found any good fan-fics about it, so I took it upon myself to start posting the one I have written.

Burton approached Ryder for the role of Kim Boggs based on their positive working experience in Beetlejuice. I always thought that one day I would revisit the characters and the story however I never imagined it would be through a graphic novel. Can Edward find his place in the well-meaning community which struggles to see past his curious appearance to the innocence and gentleness within?In addition to Elfman's music, three Tom Jones songs also appear: " It's Not Unusual", " Delilah" and " With These Hands". Edward nevertheless takes responsibility for the robbery, telling Kim that he did it because she asked him to. Prior to Edward, the inventor worked on many other projects, which we were given an insight to throughout the film.

With this in mind I would really love to re-read the story, perhaps next time as a physical book, to catch all of the little details I must have missed first time around. Depp was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy, but lost to Gérard Depardieu of Green Card. Fans of the film should certainly check this out - and even if you're not a hardcore fan, give it a try and like me, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised and very interested in this new story line.Once adored by the Boggs family and the neighborhood that welcomed his arrival, Edward Scissorhands’ intervening years of reclusion have not been kind to him. If you only take it as a sort of sequel you will feel a little confused by some characters behaviors and simply not totally right. I did however feel like the story could have been padded out a little more, although I understand that this isn’t always easy with the format of a graphic novel. Edward is found living alone in the attic of a Gothic castle, a setting that is also used for main characters in Burton's Batman and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
