CM has a smooth, sweet, refreshing fragrance that doesn't smell like chemicals or make you want to cough when you spray it. I don't find this to be unisex at all - I wouldn't like my boyfriend smelling like this, for instance. I could still smell this after 18 hours (albeit close to the skin by that point) But the original Chanel CM lasted about 6-8 hrs on me and it's re formulation only lasted a miserable 2-3 hours. I love me some STONKIN patchouli, but not everyone else appreciates my Noir Patchouli (Histoires de Parfums) or Sumatra Patchouli (Jeanne Arthes) or even Patchouli Patch (L'Artisan), for example. Leaving aside the similarities between this and CM from Chanel, I want to rate this by itself, the beauty behind this fragrance, it is citrus and musky at its finest, there is no note that is overpowering in here, they are all well blended leaving a soft, citrus, floral and patchouli scent.

Unfortunately, nearly every Chanel fragrance I’ve tried takes on a distinct “nursing home” smell when I wear them. I've had it on for an hour and to my nose it's been reminding me of Montale Ristretto Intense cafe, where too I never really got the coffee note but more of a chocolaty patchouli.edit: I copied her too and layered it with cdnim which is the only one I have at hand that might work and it worked pretty well. This would be incredible for that girl rocking a black wedding dress, a girl who doesn't mind dominating in the bedroom, or for a sexy/date night.

The indolic/animalic element comes from a photo realistic wisteria notes that haunts the back blocks of this scent. Overall I get a powdery, sparkly citrus-rose overlaying a deep, rich vanilla-patchouli blend with all the edges softened by a musk that leans to white-musk. Club De Nuit comes off more mature and it is a going out scent to dinner, it is very potent so 2-3 sprays is enough. Top notes are Orange, Bergamot, Grapefruit and Peach; middle notes are Rose, Jasmine, Geranium and Litchi; base notes are Patchouli, Vanilla, Musk and Vetiver.I do like the opening and sillage, so dark and intoxicating in the first few sprays BUT poof and the smell is gone within 30 mins.

I do smell the powdery effect but other than that all I get is a citrusy smell like an old perfume almost gone bad. This is a scent for those cold, enigmatic evenings when you want to leave an unforgettable impression.This is definitely a good fragrance, and I think it seduces a lot of people because it is so unique and different. I tried a tester of CM on one arm and the Club de Nuit on the other, initially the opening was sharper with the CN but after 15 minutes you could not tell them apart and I do agree with other reviews that the longevity of the Armaf product is clearly better, lasts 12+ hours on your clothes and still smells delicious closeup! But I have to admit it's an easy scent to wear, especially if you just want to smell nice like everyone else. I've never smelt cocomad but I'm guessing the similarities people have noted could be the culprit for that.
