About this deal

Having to contend with the arrival of the depressingly perfect Evie doesn't help. Because now Sunshine has even lost her cherished status as the best skipper in her school! And some of the things that Evie says makes Sunshine wonder about her motives - even if Evie often *sounds* as though she's trying to be funny rather than mean. Many of the problems that Sunshine faces are likely to strike a chord with readers who belong to the target group for this book. Each day includes a scripture, author's personal story or notes, ways to get through this trial in life, and so much positivity & best of all it's relatable. The Cinnamon Roll Queen wasn't going to be bought off by a fast food hamburger—supposing I ate hamburgers, which I didn't, and after tonight, even if I had, id've given them up—but Prime Time was a twenty-four-hour gourmet deli.

Her new friend Evie is fast becoming a FRENEMY, her home haircut is a DISASTER, and the school showcase is so STRESSFUL! Everything seems to be going wrong! Especially with Grandad getting older and weaker every week. Before this book came out I was unfamiliar with the authors and unsure what to expect. I love the dual author perspectives and how each day alternates from Raquelle to Tanya. As they begin to discuss the evidence Moira has witnessed at the crime scene, they come to the conclusion that not only do the police not want any outside help but have missed important clues. They decide that as a group they will secretly investigate the death and if they find out anything then they will bring it to the police.Well, in this book the main character has sex with her long time boyfriend and it's a sweet nonevent - these positive and healthy examples of sex are good! Can we have more caring and loving and healthy relationships displayed for our youth like this, please? I pray that you would give me the wisdom and discernment to know your will today and every day. I pray that you will always open the right doors and close the wrong ones and give me the inner peace and gut feeling to know what you would have me do or say. Thank you for always protecting me. Amen.

It’s the true story angle, the love of nature ( Let’s go to the mountains ), their power to soothe the wounded soul and recharge your drained batteries. It’s the strength of the emotion on display, the appeal to honesty in relationships, even when they are going through some rough patches. It’s the request for respect of personal choices and the right to hold on to your dignity as you are about to exit the scene. I personally feel like i'm talking to the author, like having a women's bible study in my own home. They share personal experiences share a scripture that fits with that days challenge and outline how you can put things into line to achieve what makes you happy in your life. Adult vampire urban fantasy. Sunshine lives in an alternate post-apocalyptic world in which Others - vampires, weres, demons and angels - are accepted and everywhere. We don't see any angels, mind you. This one's all about the horror. Sunshine herself lives an ordinary life working in her step dad's cafe, until she does something stupid and gets herself captured by the 'darkest' of the Others: vampires. Seriously messed up psychopathic supervillains. Sunshine finds out a few things about herself, and forges an alliance with somebody she shouldn't even be able to look at, let alone develop feelings for. In the U.K. with the recent success of The Thursday Murder Club any book sent within a retired community is going to struggle by comparison. However, The Retired Detectives Club within Steph Broadribb’s novel doesn’t struggle due this alone, it fails fundamentally because of the Homestead’s reality which within the text alludes to being Stepford in nature and more in keeping with The Truman Show. Aimil: librarian, long-time friend of Sunshine's. It is revealed that she's been part-time with the SOF for 20 months. Also a partblood.Sunshine is based on the real life story of Jacquelyn Helton who kept a diary for her daughter Jennifer. There are many things about that universe we do not know about and which I want to know - more on Con and his difference take on vampirism, more on the goddess of pain, more on Mel, more on the Blaises. But it ends well, without cliffhangers, and with a feeling that this story is always about there being more story. Do we really need a sequel? I don´t know. I would read it absolutely and love finding out more about that universe, but I am not sure if it truly is required. When the orzo’s ready, stir it into everything else and season to taste. Top with the coriander sprigs and serve with the lime slices or wedges. Where can I buy Slimming World recipe books? The narrator sounds like a boomer with the constant references to lateral whorephobia, classist remarks, misogynistic, homophobic and ableist “jokes”. I make a point to consume as much material written by sex workers (something this author desperately seeks to seperate herself from, making some truly ugly remarks about FSSW that can only stem from a place of deeply internalised whorephobia), and I was on a good streak with Rita Therese’s “Come”, Tilly Lawless’ “Nothing But My Body” and Bella Green’s “Happy Endings”, all INCREDIBLE pieces of work.. until I borrowed this trashy pile of BS. Hmm. Where to start? This book was quite unique and strange. I love me a good vampire tale and this certainly was one- vampires are at the centre of the actions of the story. And yet...the point of the book seemed to be more about the world building. This was a fascinating world with many magics and part blood demons, ward makers and charm weavers, a special Others police force...
